An International Cross-Disciplinary Free-Improvisation Festival - London, UK - “Art is mostly experienced as the aftermath of the creative process. It may be composed, rehearsed, performed or recorded and as such it is but a reflection of that process. Improvisation, as a premise, invites the artist and spectator to share a moment and witness art as a unique event as it emerges, truly in the here and now” - Illi Adato.
Art of The Moment Festival is integrating music, dance and visual arts in fresh new ways and re-examining the relationship between the different medium. It is a celebration of art created in the glorious uncertainty of the here and now, deep in the heart of spontaneous composition.

4X4 - An Instant-Composition Performance for a String Quartet & Four Electronic Musicians <

4X4 is conceptualised around a string quartet in the (almost) classic sense, and four electronic artists.
Each 4X4 player is invited to note performance ideas for the ensemble to experiment with. We will all discuss the ideas prior to the show and agree which ones will be done during the coming performance. If not in agreement, we can draw a random selection of 'experiments' for the show out of a hat. On stage, other then playing in full 4X4 form, it is a 'live-lab' or 'work-in-progress' type show, where the ensemble try out the suggestions for sonic experiments, this way each gig is different. This show premièred in London and now touring in Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Vienna, Sofia, Chicago and the UK.
Some of the artists taking part are: Hannah Marshall - Celo / Yoni Silver - Violin / Susanna Ferrar - Viola / Sylvia Hallet - Violin / Guy Harries - Electronics / Tom Tlalim - Electronics / Illi Adato - Electronics / Steve Beresford - Electronics.
A Living Score <

A concept-performance of instant music & dance composition spontaneously created by 'Conduction' queues provided to the musicians by the movement of dancers. ‘A Living Score’ includes both a workshop and a performance – An improvisatory workshop, A Living Score is a seedbed of possibilities for a spontaneous living art using a tight interdependent relationship between movement & sound as its basis. This on-going, internationally touring project is run by Ov London's founder and driving force Illi Adato, it is open to dancers and musicians practised in improvising and will culminate with a post-workshop performance. 'A Living Score' was recently performed by The Chicago Modern Orchestra Project paving the way for other artistic entities to perform and explore this unique method.

The Night Before <
A free-improv Trio and an album published by Mahorka Records. The recording session of this album took place in Istanbul on the night before the Gezi Park street protest kicked off. The trio members are Buğra Giritlioğlu - vocals, Yannis Saxonis - electronics and Illi Adato - percussion and electronics.
